1. What is the Larnil Art Exchange Program?

The Exchange Program allows Larnil Art members to trade handmade jewelry, artistic objects, or small crafted items with one another. It is based on trust, mutual respect, and shared artistic values.

2. What is a security deposit, and why is it needed?

A security deposit is a temporary amount of money paid by both members in an exchange. It ensures both sides act responsibly. The deposit is fully refunded after the trade is successfully completed.

3. Who decides the amount of the deposit?

The person who adds an item to the exchange chooses the deposit amount. This value is published with the product in the Exchange Catalogue.

4. How do I submit an item for exchange?

Send the following by email to [email protected]:

The deposit amount you want

Larnil Art will review your submission before listing.

5. What happens when someone wants to trade with me?

You’ll receive a message with their offer, including photos, a description, and their deposit value. You can accept or decline the offer. Nothing moves forward unless both sides agree.

6. How do I pay the security deposit? How does Stripe work?

After both members agree, Larnil Art sends a secure Stripe link. You click the link, enter your card details, and approve the deposit. The deposit is held securely until the exchange is complete.

7. Do I need to pay for shipping?

Yes. Each member pays to ship their own item. Insured and trackable shipping is highly recommended.

8. What if the item I receive is wrong or damaged?

Take clear photos or video and contact Larnil Art within 48 hours. Larnil Art will review the issue and help resolve it fairly.

9. Can I cancel the exchange after it’s approved?

Yes — but only before shipping your item. After that, both parties must agree to cancel.

10. How long does the exchange process take?

Typically 7–14 days, depending on how quickly members respond and ship items.

11. What kinds of items can I exchange?

You may submit handmade jewelry, artistic objects, and small crafts. Mass-produced or prohibited items are not accepted.

12. Are there items that are not accepted for exchange?

Yes. Items that are illegal, offensive, fragile, counterfeit, or hazardous are strictly prohibited. Full details are listed in the Terms of Use.

13. Do I need to agree to any terms before using the Exchange?

Yes. You must accept the Terms of Use before submitting an item or joining an exchange. A checkbox will appear confirming your agreement.

14. Does Larnil Art take any commission from the deposit?

No. Larnil Art does not take any fee or commission. The deposit is for protection only and is refunded if the exchange is successful.

15. Does Stripe charge any fee when I pay the deposit?

Yes, a small processing fee (e.g., 2.9% + €0.30) is taken by Stripe. Larnil Art does not receive this fee.

16. Are items exchanged for money on Larnil Art?

No. All exchanges are product-for-product. Items are never bought or sold for money in the Exchange.

17. Is Larnil Art a business or a store?

Larnil Art operates both a Shop (for purchases) and an Exchange (for trades). The Shop is commercial, but the Exchange is community-based and non-commercial.

18. Why do I need to pay a deposit if I’m not buying anything?

The deposit protects both members. It ensures fairness, discourages bad behavior, and is refunded after both parties confirm the exchange.

19. Is there also a shop on Larnil Art? Can I buy items directly?

Yes. The Shop section is separate and offers items for direct purchase. The Exchange is a community program based on mutual trade.

20. Can I exchange valuable or protected artworks?

No. Items that are part of cultural heritage or require export permission cannot be exchanged. Each member is responsible for legal compliance when shipping their items.
